Safety: Unplug the appliance before accessing the fan. Beware of sharp metal edges.

• Access the evaporator fan: Remove interior shelves and the rear inner panel to expose the fan assembly.
• Check for obstructions: Spin the fan blade by hand. Remove any ice, labels, or wiring that may be blocking movement. If heavy ice is present, defrost the unit fully.
• Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan connector is firmly attached and wires are not cut or pinched.
• Test fan motor: With the fan disconnected, measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If you have a suitable low-voltage test supply (per Grundig specs), briefly power the fan to confirm operation.
• Replace fan motor: Install a new Grundig evaporator fan motor and transfer the fan blade if necessary. Secure all screws and route wires away from the blade.
• Check control board: If a new fan does not run and voltage is not present at the fan connector when the compressor is running, the main PCB fan driver may be faulty and require replacement.
