Possible Causes
Stuck touch keys on control panel, Moisture ingress behind display, Damaged control PCB membrane, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or display assembly.
- Dry the control area: If condensation or liquid has contacted the panel, allow it to dry completely. Do not use heat guns.
- Inspect control panel: Remove the front control panel carefully. Check for cracks, corrosion, or moisture on the PCB.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable between the user interface (UI) board and main PCB is fully seated and not damaged.
- Clean contacts: Use isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush to clean any residue on the control PCB.
- Test buttons: With the panel reconnected and power restored, test each key. If some keys remain unresponsive or E9 persists, the panel is likely defective.
- Replace UI board: Install a new Grundig control panel / user interface board and reassemble the fascia.
