Possible Causes

Failed evaporator fan motor, Ice obstruction around fan blades, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty main control PCB fan driver

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before accessing the interior fan. Beware of sharp metal edges.

Steps to address E7:

  • Listen for fan operation: With the door closed and unit running, you should normally hear a gentle fan noise. If silent, proceed with inspection (after unplugging).
  • Access the fan: Remove interior shelves and the rear interior panel to expose the evaporator fan assembly.
  • Check for ice or obstructions: Look for ice buildup around the fan shroud or blades. If present, fully defrost the unit (unplug, door open) until all ice melts.
  • Inspect fan blades and motor: Ensure the blades spin freely by hand. If stiff, grinding, or seized, the motor is likely defective.
  • Verify wiring: Check the fan motor connector and wiring harness for loose plugs or damaged insulation. Reseat the connector at both the fan and main control PCB.
  • Test the fan motor: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the fan motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • Replace the fan motor: Install a Haier-compatible evaporator fan motor. Transfer the fan blade if necessary and secure the motor in the original mounting bracket.
  • Reassemble and test: Reinstall the interior panel and shelves, restore power, and confirm that the fan runs and E7 clears.

Note: If the fan motor tests good but does not receive voltage during operation, the main control PCB may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
