Possible Causes
Evaporator fan not running or intermittent, Shelves blocking airflow, Frost buildup on evaporator, Interior baffle or duct out of place
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing interior panels or touching the fan.
Steps to improve temperature uniformity:
- Check loading pattern: Avoid pushing bottles directly against the rear wall or blocking vents. Leave space between bottles for air circulation.
- Verify fan operation: With the door closed and unit running, listen for the evaporator fan. If silent, unplug and inspect the fan behind the rear interior panel.
- Remove frost buildup: If the evaporator is iced over, fully defrost the unit (unplug, door open) until all ice melts. Check that the defrost system is functioning if frost returns quickly.
- Inspect air ducts and baffles: Ensure any plastic air guides or ducts are properly seated and not broken or blocked.
- Replace faulty fan: If the evaporator fan motor is not running or is noisy, replace it with a Haier-compatible motor.
Result: Proper airflow and loading should reduce temperature swings and hot/cold spots inside the cabinet.
