Possible Causes
Weak compressor, Failing start relay or PTC, Low supply voltage, Seized compressor rotor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug the cooler before accessing the compressor.
- Check supply voltage: Avoid extension cords; plug directly into a dedicated outlet.
- Inspect start relay and overload: Remove the compressor terminal cover and check for burnt or cracked components. Replace with a Hisense-compatible start kit.
- Allow cooling: If the compressor is very hot, let it cool for 30–60 minutes before retrying.
If the compressor continues to click and fail to start with new start components, the compressor itself may be locked and will require professional replacement.
