How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Hisense wine cooler from the wall outlet before removing any panels or touching internal wiring.

This code usually indicates a problem with the main cabinet temperature sensor (NTC) used by Hisense wine coolers to regulate cooling.

  • Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then plug it back in. If E0 returns within a few minutes, continue with checks.
  • Access the cabinet sensor: The cabinet NTC is typically clipped to the evaporator cover or mounted on the rear liner inside the cooled compartment. Remove interior shelves and the plastic evaporator cover (usually held by screws or clips).
  • Inspect the sensor and wiring: Look for broken insulation, cut wires, or a loose connector where the sensor harness plugs into the liner or passes through to the rear compartment.
  • Check resistance (if you have a multimeter): Disconnect the sensor from the harness and measure resistance at room temperature. A typical Hisense NTC will read between 5–20 kΩ at ~25°C. An infinite reading indicates an open sensor; near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor.
  • Reconnect or replace: If the connector is loose, reseat it firmly. If the sensor is open/shorted, replace it with a compatible Hisense cabinet NTC sensor. Route the new sensor along the original path and secure it with clips or tape away from the evaporator fan blades.
  • Check the main PCB: If a known-good sensor still gives E0, inspect the main control PCB (usually at the rear, behind a metal or plastic cover) for burnt components or corroded connectors. Reseat the sensor plug on the PCB. If damage is visible, the PCB may need replacement.
