How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Empty the cabinet: Remove all bottles and shelves.
- Clean interior: Wash the liner and shelves with a solution of mild detergent and warm water, followed by a mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water.
- Check drain pan: At the rear, remove and clean the drain pan above the compressor. Ensure it is not overflowing or full of debris.
- Dry thoroughly: Leave the door open for several hours to allow complete drying before restarting.
- Use odor absorbers: Place an open box of baking soda or activated charcoal inside to absorb residual odors.
Persistent odors may require replacing porous components like wooden shelves if they are heavily contaminated.
