Possible Causes

Small refrigerant leak in evaporator or tubing, Weak compressor, Severely dirty condenser coils, Failing condenser fan motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Unplug the unit before cleaning or fan inspection.

  • Clean condenser: Access the rear of the unit and brush/vacuum dust from the condenser coils. Good airflow is critical for Hisense compressor-based wine coolers.
  • Check condenser fan: Ensure the fan runs whenever the compressor is on. Replace the fan motor if it is slow, noisy, or not running.
  • Verify door seal: Inspect the door gasket for gaps or tears that allow warm air in, forcing the unit to run continuously.
  • Monitor frost pattern: Remove the inner rear panel and observe the evaporator after 15–20 minutes of running. A healthy system will have an even frost pattern across most of the coil. Frost only on a small section often indicates low refrigerant.

If cleaning and fan replacement do not restore performance and the frost pattern is abnormal, a sealed-system leak or weak compressor is likely. This must be diagnosed and repaired by a refrigeration technician.
