Steps to restore button function:

Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth to remove any moisture or residue.
Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect and test buttons.
Inspect keypad PCB: Remove the control panel and check the keypad/touch PCB and ribbon cable for damage or corrosion.
Reseat cable: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable firmly.
Replace keypad: If certain buttons remain unresponsive, replace the Hoover-compatible keypad/touch PCB.

Buttons on the control panel do not respond or respond intermittently.
