Aged or hardened gasket, Physical damage from bottles or cleaning tools, Misaligned door
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the cooler if you will remove the door for easier gasket replacement.
Steps to replace gasket:
- Inspect gasket: Look for visible tears, gaps, or hardened sections.
- Remove old gasket: Most Hoover wine cooler gaskets are push-in types. Gently pull the gasket out of the door channel starting at a corner.
- Clean channel: Wipe the gasket channel with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Install new gasket: Press the new Hoover-compatible door gasket into the channel, starting at the corners and working along the sides. Ensure it is fully seated.
- Shape and test: Close the door and check for uniform contact. Warm stubborn areas with a hairdryer to help the gasket conform.
