Display shows CL and controls are locked; temperature cannot be adjusted.

Safety first: No internal repair is needed for normal child lock operation. Only unplug if you will remove panels.

Steps to clear CL:

• Use the unlock combination: On many Hoover wine coolers, press and hold the temperature up and down buttons together for 3–5 seconds to toggle the child lock. Refer to your user manual for the exact combination.
• Check button function: If the lock will not clear, test whether the buttons respond at all. If some keys are unresponsive, the keypad may be faulty.
• Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try the unlock sequence again.
• Inspect keypad (if still locked): If CL remains and buttons do not respond, access the keypad PCB and check for stuck buttons or damage. Replace the keypad PCB if necessary.
