• Clean and reseat connectors: Gently unplug the ribbon cable from both ends. Use electrical contact cleaner if available, allow to dry, and reconnect firmly, ensuring it is fully inserted and locked.
• Check for moisture: Condensation can affect the display. Dry the area thoroughly and ensure the door gasket is sealing properly to reduce moisture ingress.
• Test operation: Restore power and check if the display stabilizes and E7 clears.
• Replace display PCB if needed: If the fault persists and the main PCB appears to function (cooling and fans operate), replace the Hoover-compatible display/touch control board.
• Consider main PCB: If replacing the display does not resolve E7, the main control board may have a communication fault and should be replaced by a technician.
