Possible Causes

Broken or disconnected NTC sensor, Sensor plug loose from PCB, Cut sensor cable inside cabinet wall, Faulty sensor input on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the wine cooler before removing any panels or testing wiring.

Steps to resolve HI:

  • Locate the affected sensor: Determine which zone or compartment is showing HI and access that cabinet sensor.
  • Check connection: Ensure the sensor connector is firmly plugged into the main PCB. Reseat it if necessary.
  • Inspect cable: Look for visible cuts, pinches, or rodent damage along the sensor wire path.
  • Test resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. An open circuit (OL) indicates a broken sensor.
  • Replace sensor: If open or intermittent, install a Hoover-compatible NTC sensor. Follow the original routing and secure it properly.
  • PCB check: If a new sensor still reads HI, the main PCB sensor input may be faulty and require board replacement.
