Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan for one zone, Blocked air duct between zones, Faulty thermistor in affected zone, Partial sealed system issue affecting one evaporator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing internal panels or wiring.
Steps to diagnose one warm zone:
- 1. Verify settings: Confirm both zones are set to appropriate temperatures and not accidentally turned off.
- 2. Listen for fans: With the unit running, listen near the divider between zones. If one zone's fan is silent, suspect that fan.
- 3. Access the warm zone's evaporator: Remove shelves and the rear panel in the warm zone to expose the evaporator and fan.
- 4. Inspect fan and wiring: Check for obstructions, ice buildup, or disconnected wiring. Replace the zone's evaporator fan motor if it does not run.
- 5. Check thermistor for that zone: Locate and test the temperature sensor for the affected zone. Replace if readings are out of range.
- 6. Sealed system evaluation: If fans and sensors are good but one zone still does not cool, a sealed system issue specific to that evaporator may exist and requires a professional technician.
Tip: Do not block air passages between zones with bottles or shelves.
