Possible Causes

Misplaced cabinet thermistor touching cold wall, Faulty main control board temperature calibration, Shorted thermistor, Poor air circulation causing cold spots

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the cooler before adjusting sensor placement.

Steps to correct overcooling:

  • 1. Verify temperature with a thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer in the center of the cabinet and compare to the display. If the actual temperature is much lower, continue.
  • 2. Reposition the thermistor: Remove the interior sensor cover and ensure the thermistor is not pressed against the evaporator wall or directly in the cold air stream. Gently reposition it so it hangs or rests in free air.
  • 3. Adjust loading: Avoid pushing bottles tightly against the rear wall; leave some space for air circulation.
  • 4. Test the thermistor (advanced): Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to expected values. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
  • 5. Replace control board if needed: If the sensor is correct but the board continues to overcool, the main control board may be misreading temperature and should be replaced.

Tip: After adjustments, allow at least 12–24 hours for temperatures to stabilize before re-evaluating.
