Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between control panel and main PCB, Damaged touchpad or buttons, Moisture intrusion into control panel, Failed display/control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the Ivation wine cooler before removing the control panel or display assembly.

Steps:

  • Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in. If E6 returns, continue.
  • Inspect control panel: Remove the front control panel bezel (usually held by clips or screws). Carefully pull it forward to access the ribbon cable or wiring harness.
  • Check connections: Ensure the ribbon cable is fully seated in both the control panel and main board connectors. Look for corrosion, bent pins, or damage.
  • Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation or liquid inside the panel, gently dry the area with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry completely before reassembly.
  • Test buttons: With power restored and the panel loosely in place, test each button. If some buttons do not respond or E6 persists, the keypad or control PCB may be faulty.
  • Replace control panel or PCB: Install a new Ivation control panel assembly or Ivation main control board as appropriate, transferring any wiring one connector at a time.

Note: If you are not comfortable working with electronic boards, contact a professional technician.
