Possible Causes

Failed Peltier module, Loose heatsink or thermal paste failure, Burnt Peltier wiring, Control board Peltier driver failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the thermoelectric Ivation wine cooler before servicing. The heatsinks can be sharp and hot.

Steps:

  • Access Peltier assembly: Remove the rear panel to expose the Peltier module sandwiched between internal and external heatsinks with fans.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the Peltier module’s power wires for burns or disconnection. Ensure connectors are secure on the control board.
  • Check heatsink contact: Verify that the module is clamped tightly between heatsinks. Loose screws can cause overheating and failure.
  • Test module: With a multimeter, check for continuity across the Peltier module. An open circuit indicates a failed module.
  • Replace module: Remove the clamping screws, carefully separate the heatsinks, clean old thermal paste, and install a new Ivation Peltier cooling module with fresh thermal compound. Reassemble tightly.

If F6 persists with a new module, the control board’s Peltier driver may be defective.
