Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around cabinet, Failed condenser fan, Failed internal circulation fan, Dirty condenser coils, Ambient temperature too high, Failing compressor or Peltier module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Ivation wine cooler before cleaning or accessing internal components.
Steps:
- Check installation: Ensure adequate clearance around the cooler (2–4 inches on sides and back). Do not install in direct sunlight or near ovens or radiators.
- Clean vents and coils: Remove dust from rear grille and condenser coils using a soft brush or vacuum.
- Inspect fans: Remove rear and interior panels to verify that the condenser fan (compressor models) and internal circulation fan spin freely and are not obstructed.
- Test fan operation: With the unit reassembled enough to run, plug it in and observe whether fans start when cooling is called for. Replace any non-running fan with a compatible Ivation fan motor.
- Monitor temperature: After cleaning and fan repair, allow several hours of operation. If HC persists and the cabinet remains warm, the compressor or Peltier module may be overheating and should be checked by a technician.
