Possible Causes
Door left open or not sealing, Blocked ventilation, Failed compressor or Peltier module, Failed condenser or internal fan, Refrigerant leak (compressor models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Always unplug the Ivation wine cooler before removing panels or touching internal components.
Steps:
- Check door and gasket: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket makes uniform contact around the frame. Look for gaps, tears, or warped areas.
- Verify ventilation: Confirm adequate clearance around the cooler and remove any obstructions from vents.
- Listen for compressor or Peltier operation: When plugged in and calling for cooling, you should hear the compressor or a faint hum from the Peltier module and fans. If silent, suspect a failed cooling system or control board.
- Inspect fans and coils: Remove rear panel to check that the condenser fan runs and the condenser coils are clean. Clean dust and replace a non-running fan.
- Monitor cooling: After cleaning and ensuring fans run, allow 4–6 hours. If the internal temperature does not drop and HI remains, the compressor/Peltier or sealed system may have failed.
Important: Sealed system and refrigerant issues should be handled by a licensed refrigeration technician.
