Possible Causes
Door gasket leak, Door frequently opened, Failed defrost sensor or heater (if equipped), Blocked drain channel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before defrosting or removing panels. Do not use sharp tools to chip ice.
Steps:
- Manual defrost: Remove all bottles, unplug the cooler, and leave the door open until all ice melts. Place towels to catch water.
- Check door gasket: Inspect for gaps or tears. Replace with a Ivation door gasket if damaged.
- Inspect defrost components (if applicable): On compressor models with automatic defrost, access the evaporator and check the defrost sensor and heater for continuity. Replace faulty parts with Ivation defrost sensor or Ivation defrost heater.
- Clear drain: Locate the drain hole at the bottom of the evaporator tray and clear any blockage with a soft brush or pipe cleaner.
After reassembly, monitor for recurring frost. Persistent issues may indicate a control board defrost timing problem.
