Possible Causes
Temperature sensor located too close to cold air outlet, Oversensitive control algorithm, Dirty condenser causing rapid overheating, Incorrect installation near heat sources
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before moving sensors or cleaning coils.
Steps:
- Check installation: Move the Ivation cooler away from ovens, dishwashers, or direct sunlight.
- Clean condenser: Remove dust from condenser coils and ensure the condenser fan runs properly.
- Inspect sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet thermistor is not directly in the cold air stream from the evaporator. If it is, reposition slightly as per Ivation’s design (usually clipped to the wall, not hanging in airflow).
If short cycling continues, the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
