Possible Causes
Stuck relay on control board, Shorted temperature sensor, Sensor not properly attached to cabinet wall, Control board calibration fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Ivation wine cooler before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps:
- Verify set temperature: Ensure the setpoint is appropriate for wine (typically 45–65°F). Adjust upward if set too low.
- Check sensor placement: Locate the cabinet thermistor and confirm it is firmly attached to the wall or evaporator as designed. Reattach with aluminum tape if loose.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance and compare to Ivation specs. Replace a shorted sensor with a new Ivation cabinet temperature sensor.
- Control board: If sensor is good and properly placed but overcooling persists, the control board relay may be stuck closed. Replace the Ivation main control board.
