Possible Causes
Failed compressor (compressor models), Failed Peltier module (thermoelectric models), Main control board failure, Open thermal fuse or wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Ivation wine cooler before any internal inspection.
Steps:
- Confirm symptoms: Verify that the interior does not cool after 4–6 hours of operation and that no error code is displayed.
- Listen for operation: Plug in and set to a cold temperature. Listen for compressor hum (compressor models) or faint Peltier/fan noise (thermoelectric). If completely silent, suspect power/control issues.
- Check fans: Remove rear panel and confirm whether fans run when cooling is requested. If fans run but compressor/Peltier does not, the cooling component or control board may be faulty.
- Inspect wiring and thermal fuse: Look for an inline thermal fuse or cutoff near the compressor or Peltier module. Test for continuity and replace if open with a matching Ivation thermal fuse.
- Control board check: Inspect the main control board for burnt components. If present, replace with a compatible Ivation main control board.
Note: Compressor or sealed system replacement should be performed by a licensed technician.
