Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main control board, Misreading temperature sensor, Incorrect setpoint or control calibration, Defective control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps:
- Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is appropriate for wine (typically 45–65°F depending on type). Adjust if necessary.
- Check with thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer inside and compare to the display. If the actual temperature is much lower, suspect a sensor or control issue.
- Inspect sensors: See the E1/E2/E3 entries for testing thermistors. A sensor reading too warm can cause overcooling.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 10 minutes, then restore. If L1 returns and the unit continues to overcool, the control board's compressor relay may be stuck closed.
- Board replacement: Replace the main control board if it continues to drive the compressor despite correct sensor readings and setpoint.
