How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing interior panels.
Steps:
- Access evaporator fan: Remove shelves and the rear interior panel to expose the fan.
- Check for ice: Look for frost or ice contacting the fan blade. If present, defrost the unit fully and check defrost system (see E4/F4).
- Inspect fan blade: Remove any debris and ensure the blade is not cracked or rubbing on the shroud.
- Tighten mounts: Tighten fan mounting screws to prevent vibration.
- Replace fan motor: If the noise persists and the motor feels rough when spun by hand, replace the evaporator fan motor.
