Possible Causes

Defective ambient NTC sensor near control panel, Disconnected or pinched sensor harness, Oxidized connector at display/control PCB, Failed control board analog-to-digital sensor circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or top cover.

  • Locate ambient sensor: On many Kismile models, the ambient sensor is near the front control panel or air intake grille, with a small probe and two-wire harness leading to the display/control board.
  • Visual inspection: Check for broken wires, crushed insulation, or a sensor that has been pulled out of its mounting clip.
  • Connector check: Remove the control panel cover and verify the sensor plug is fully seated on the control PCB. Clean any corrosion with electronic contact cleaner and a soft brush.
  • Test sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to the cabinet sensor if they are the same type. Replace the sensor if it is open, shorted, or significantly different from spec.
  • Replace sensor: Install a compatible Kismile ambient temperature sensor, routing the wire away from hot components and moving parts.
  • Control board evaluation: If a new sensor does not clear E3, the display/control board is likely defective and should be replaced.
