Possible Causes

Loose or damaged communication harness between display PCB and main PCB, Oxidized or wet connectors at control boards, Failed display/control PCB, Failed main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing any control covers.

  • Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front/top control panel. Carefully pull it forward to expose the display PCB and wiring.
  • Check harness connections: Locate the multi-pin connector that runs from the display board to the main control board (often at the rear or side). Ensure both ends are fully seated.
  • Inspect for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or liquid spills on the control boards. Dry gently with a hair dryer on cool setting or allow to air dry completely.
  • Clean connectors: Use electronic contact cleaner on the plug and socket, then reconnect firmly.
  • Visual inspection: Check for burnt components or cracked solder joints on the display PCB. If damaged, replace the Kismile display/control panel assembly.
  • Board replacement: If wiring and display board appear good but E6 persists, the main control board may be defective and should be replaced with an OEM Kismile board.
