Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan motor, Obstructed fan blades by ice or wiring, Loose fan motor connector, Faulty main control board fan driver circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before working near the fan or evaporator.
- Access interior fan: Remove the interior rear panel to expose the evaporator fan assembly.
- Check for obstructions: Spin the fan blades by hand. Remove any ice buildup, wiring, or insulation blocking the blades. Do not bend the blades.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan motor plug is fully seated on its connector and that wires are not pinched or cut.
- Test fan motor: With a multimeter, check for appropriate resistance across the fan motor leads (not open). If open or shorted, replace the Kismile evaporator fan motor.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing or reseating the fan, restore power and verify that the fan runs and the E7 code clears.
- Control board check: If a known-good fan does not run and E7 remains, the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
