Display shows E8 and the unit may not cool; compressor may not start.

• Access rear compartment: Remove the rear lower panel to expose the compressor and control electronics.
• Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the main board or inverter module to the compressor for loose plugs or damaged insulation.
• Visual inspection of inverter (if present): Look for burn marks, bulging components, or a burnt smell on the inverter module.
• Basic compressor test: With power disconnected, measure resistance between compressor terminals. All three windings should show similar, low resistance and no continuity to ground. If windings are shorted to ground, the compressor is failed.
• Replace inverter or board: If the compressor tests good but E8 persists, replace the Kismile inverter module or main control board as configured on your model.
• Professional service: If the compressor is shorted or open, the sealed system requires replacement by a licensed refrigeration technician.
