Possible Causes
Blocked drain hole under evaporator, Frozen drain tube, Disconnected drain tube at rear, Excessive door openings causing condensation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing interior panels.
- Locate drain hole: Remove the interior rear panel to access the evaporator area. Find the small drain hole or channel at the bottom.
- Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner or plastic straw to gently clear debris from the drain hole.
- Flush with warm water: Use a turkey baster or syringe to flush warm (not boiling) water through the drain to melt any ice and push debris through the tube.
- Check rear drain tube: At the back of the unit, verify the drain tube is connected and routed to the drain pan above the compressor.
- Reduce humidity load: Avoid leaving the door open for long periods, which increases condensation.
