Possible Causes
Failed compressor start relay or PTC, Open compressor winding, Faulty main control board not sending power to compressor, Tripped thermal overload on compressor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the Kismile wine cooler before accessing the compressor compartment.
- Listen for operation: When plugged in, listen for compressor hum or vibration. If completely silent and no vibration is felt, proceed with checks.
- Access rear panel: Remove the lower rear cover to expose the compressor and control board.
- Check start relay and overload: Remove the start device from the compressor terminals. Inspect for burn marks or rattling pieces inside the relay.
- Test compressor windings: With a multimeter, measure resistance between compressor terminals. If open or shorted to ground, the compressor is failed and requires professional replacement.
- Replace start device: If compressor windings are good, install a new Kismile-compatible compressor start relay and overload protector.
- Control board output: If the compressor still does not receive power, the main control board may be defective and should be replaced.
