Possible Causes
Dirty condenser coil reducing heat rejection, Weak or failing compressor, Low refrigerant charge due to micro-leak, Evaporator fan not circulating air properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning coils or accessing fans.
- Check temperature setting: Confirm the set temperature is low enough for desired cooling.
- Clean condenser: Move the Kismile cooler away from the wall and vacuum the condenser coil and fan area thoroughly.
- Verify condenser fan operation: With the unit running, ensure the condenser fan motor spins freely and moves air. Replace if not running.
- Check evaporator fan: Open the door and listen for the interior fan. If silent while compressor runs, access and test the evaporator fan motor.
- Door seal: Inspect the door gasket for leaks that can cause warm air infiltration.
- Professional sealed system check: If fans and coils are clean and functional but cooling is still weak, the system may be low on refrigerant or have a restriction. This requires a licensed refrigeration technician.
