Wine cooler displays E11 and interior humidity seems unusually high or low

Safety: Disconnect power before removing any interior trim or sensor covers.

On KitchenAid wine coolers equipped with humidity monitoring, E11 indicates a humidity sensor issue.

• Step 1 – Locate humidity sensor: It is often behind a small vented cover on the interior wall or ceiling of the cabinet.
• Step 2 – Inspect sensor: Remove the cover and check for visible corrosion, water droplets, or mold on the sensor. Gently clean with a dry, soft brush if lightly contaminated.
• Step 3 – Check connections: Reseat the sensor connector and inspect the harness for damage.
• Step 4 – Replace sensor: If E11 persists after cleaning and reseating, replace the humidity sensor module with a compatible KitchenAid part.
• Step 5 – Control board: If a new sensor does not clear E11, the main control board humidity circuit may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
