Possible Causes
Failed LED light module, Faulty door switch, Loose light harness connector, Failed LED driver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing light covers.
- Step 1 – Check door switch: Press the door switch manually with the door open. If the display responds but the light does not, the switch is likely good.
- Step 2 – Inspect LED module: Remove the light lens and check the LED board for burn marks. Reseat the connector.
- Step 3 – Replace LED module: If the module is visibly damaged or still does not light, replace it with a KitchenAid-compatible LED assembly.
- Step 4 – Control board: If a new module does not work, the LED driver on the main control board may be faulty and require board replacement.
