Drainage / Condensate Management Problem
Wine cooler leaking water onto the floor from front or rear
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain tube, Disconnected drain hose at rear, Excessive door openings causing condensation, Unit not level causing water to spill
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before removing interior panels. Mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.
- Step 1 – Level the unit: Ensure the cooler is slightly tilted back so water flows toward the rear drain.
- Step 2 – Clear interior drain: Remove the interior rear panel and locate the small drain hole at the bottom of the evaporator tray. Use a pipe cleaner or flexible brush to clear any blockage.
- Step 3 – Check rear drain hose: At the back, verify the drain hose is connected to the drain pan above the compressor and not kinked.
- Step 4 – Reduce humidity load: Avoid leaving the door open for long periods and ensure the door gasket seals properly.
