How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Always unplug the wine cooler before removing covers.
Steps:
- Hard reset: Unplug the unit for at least 15 minutes to fully discharge the control board. Plug back in and check if the error clears.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the rear cover and verify that all connectors to the main control board and display panel are firmly seated.
- Surge protection: If the error appeared after a storm or outage, consider using a surge protector in the future. Power surges can permanently damage the board.
- Board replacement: If ER persists and no specific sensor code is shown, replace the Koolatron main control board. Transfer all connectors one by one to avoid miswiring.
