Possible Causes
Cabinet sensor reading too low due to placement near cold plate, Stuck relay or control board driving cooling continuously, Incorrect temperature setting, Faulty temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug the unit before moving sensors or accessing the board.
Steps:
- Verify setpoint: Confirm that the temperature is not set too low for wine storage. Adjust to the recommended range (typically 10–18°C / 50–65°F).
- Check sensor placement: If the sensor is touching the cold plate or evaporator, it may read artificially low. Gently reposition it so it senses air temperature, not direct contact with the coldest surface.
- Power cycle: Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in to clear any temporary control glitch.
- Test sensor: If L1 persists, test the cabinet temperature sensor with a multimeter and replace if readings are out of specification.
- Control board: If the sensor is good but the cooler continues to run nonstop, the main control board relay may be stuck closed and will need replacement.
