Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main control board, Shorted temperature sensor reading too warm, Incorrect sensor placement touching warm surface, Faulty thermostat setting logic
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug the cooler before accessing sensors or the board.
Steps:
- Verify temperature setting: Confirm the setpoint is appropriate for wine (10–18°C / 50–65°F). Increase the set temperature and observe if cooling cycles off.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet temperature sensor is not pressed against a warm light housing or door frame, which could cause the board to think the cabinet is warmer than it is.
- Test sensor: Use a multimeter to check the sensor resistance and compare to expected values. Replace if out of range.
- Board issue: If the sensor is good and correctly placed but the cooler never shuts off, the main control board relay may be stuck closed. Replace the board.
