Possible Causes

Disconnected or failed temperature sensor, Sensor reading outside valid range, Broken harness between sensor and PCB, Control board input fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance before accessing internal panels.

Steps:

  • 1. Identify which zone: On dual-zone models, determine which zone is showing dashes.
  • 2. Access sensor: Remove shelves and the inner rear panel for the affected zone to locate the NTC sensor.
  • 3. Check connection: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated in the harness and that the harness is connected to the main PCB.
  • 4. Test sensor: Measure resistance at the current temperature. If the reading is extremely high (open) or near zero (short), replace the sensor.
  • 5. Replace sensor: Install a new La Sommeliere NTC temperature sensor and route wiring correctly.
  • 6. Test display: Restore power and verify that the temperature reading returns and updates normally.
