Possible Causes
Burnt-out LED light module, Faulty door switch, Broken wiring to light, Failed light driver on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before working on the light or switch.
Steps:
- 1. Check door switch: Follow the steps in the door switch fault scenario to ensure the switch is working. If the switch is bad, replace it first.
- 2. Access light module: Remove the light cover inside the cabinet (usually clipped or screwed). Inspect the LED module for burn marks or discoloration.
- 3. Test voltage: With power on (only if competent), measure DC voltage at the light connector when the door is open. If correct voltage is present but the light does not work, replace the La Sommeliere LED light module.
- 4. Check wiring: If no voltage is present, trace the wiring back to the PCB for breaks or loose connectors.
- 5. Replace PCB if needed: If wiring is intact and the door switch is good, the light driver on the main board may be faulty, requiring board replacement.
