Possible Causes
Defective ambient NTC sensor, Sensor not properly positioned near air intake, Broken or shorted sensor wiring, Failed control board input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug the wine cooler before servicing.
E2 generally indicates a fault with the ambient (room) temperature sensor used by some Lanbo models to adjust cooling performance.
- 1. Locate the ambient sensor:
- It is often near the front grille, air intake, or behind the control panel.
- Consult your model's diagram if available.
- 2. Visual inspection:
- Check that the sensor is not dangling, crushed, or touching hot components.
- Ensure the sensor tip is exposed to room air, not buried in insulation.
- 3. Check wiring and connector:
- Look for loose plugs at the control board.
- Inspect for cuts or abrasions along the harness.
- 4. Test sensor:
- Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature.
- Compare to other NTC sensors in the unit if they share the same spec.
- 5. Replace if defective:
- Install a new Lanbo ambient temperature sensor and route wiring away from moving parts and hot surfaces.
- 6. If E2 persists with a good sensor:
- The main control board may be defective and should be evaluated or replaced by a professional.
