Possible Causes

Loose or damaged communication harness, Oxidized connectors at control or display board, Faulty display (UI) board, Failed main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Disconnect power before removing the control panel or accessing the electronics.

E6 typically indicates a communication problem between the user interface and the main control board.

  • 1. Power cycle:
    • Unplug the cooler for 10 minutes.
    • Plug it back in and check if E6 clears.
  • 2. Access control panel:
    • Remove the screws securing the top/front control panel.
    • Carefully pull the panel forward to expose the wiring.
  • 3. Inspect harness and connectors:
    • Locate the multi-pin cable between the display board and main board.
    • Unplug and re-seat both ends several times to clean contacts.
    • Check for pinched or cut wires along the harness path.
  • 4. Check for moisture or corrosion:
    • Look for signs of condensation or liquid spills around the control area.
    • Dry gently with a clean cloth; do not use heat guns.
  • 5. Replace faulty board:
    • If wiring is intact and E6 persists, replace the Lanbo display (UI) board first, as it is usually easier and cheaper.
    • If that does not resolve the issue, the main control board may need replacement.
