Display shows EC and the unit stops cooling or cycles off quickly.

Unplug the cooler before inspecting the compressor area.

EC is a generic error indicating the cooling system is not operating correctly.

• 1. Power reset:
  • Unplug for 10 minutes and plug back in to clear transient faults.
• 2. Listen for compressor start:
  • After plugging in, listen for a humming sound from the compressor.
  • Repeated clicking without sustained running suggests a start problem.
• 3. Inspect start components:
  • Remove the compressor cover and check the start relay/PTC and overload for damage.
• 4. Replace start device if faulty:
  • Install a new Lanbo compressor start relay and overload if the old one is burned or rattles.
• 5. If compressor runs but no cooling:
  • There may be a sealed system issue (low refrigerant, restriction, or failed compressor) requiring a professional technician.
• 6. If compressor never receives power:
  • The main control board may have a failed compressor relay and need replacement.
