Possible Causes
Failed door switch, Misaligned magnetic reed sensor, Broken or missing door magnet, Shorted light control circuit on board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Unplug the cooler before adjusting switches or sensors.
- 1. Check for door magnet:
- On models with a reed sensor, verify the magnet is still embedded in the door frame or gasket.
- 2. Test door switch:
- Press the mechanical switch by hand; the light should turn off.
- If it does not, the door switch is likely faulty.
- 3. Adjust reed sensor alignment:
- Ensure the reed sensor on the cabinet lines up with the magnet in the door when closed.
- Loosen screws and adjust position if necessary.
- 4. Replace faulty components:
- Install a new Lanbo door switch or reed sensor if they fail continuity tests.
- 5. If light remains on with switch disconnected:
- The main control board light circuit may be shorted and require replacement.
