Possible Causes
Defective ambient (room) temperature sensor, Sensor harness damaged near front grille, Loose connector on main control board, Main control board sensor circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing panels.
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Lanbopro wine coolers, the ambient sensor is near the front kick plate or behind the front frame, sensing room temperature.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Remove the front grille if present. Look for a small probe or plastic-encased sensor. Check for damage from cleaning, pets, or impact.
- Check connection: Trace the sensor wires back to the main control board and ensure the connector is fully seated.
- Replace ambient sensor: If the wiring is intact but E3 persists, replace the ambient temperature sensor with a compatible Lanbopro part.
- Control board evaluation: If replacing the sensor does not clear E3, the main control board may be faulty and should be replaced.
