Possible Causes
Overheated compressor, Failed compressor start relay or PTC, Blocked condenser airflow, Faulty condenser fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit. The compressor and condenser components can be hot; allow them to cool before touching.
- Check ventilation: Ensure the Lanbopro wine cooler has proper clearance around the sides and back. Clean any dust from the rear and side vents.
- Clean condenser coils: Remove the rear lower panel and gently vacuum or brush dust from the condenser coils.
- Verify condenser fan operation: With the panel off, plug the unit back in briefly and observe if the condenser fan motor runs when the compressor tries to start. Unplug again before touching anything.
- Inspect start relay/overload: Disconnect power. Remove the cover on the side of the compressor and inspect the start relay/PTC and overload protector for burn marks or rattling pieces.
- Replace faulty parts: If the fan is not running, replace the condenser fan motor. If the relay or overload is damaged, replace the compressor start relay/overload assembly.
- Compressor evaluation: If E5 persists after these repairs, the compressor itself may be failing. At this point, contact a professional technician for sealed system diagnosis.
