Possible Causes
Door left open or not sealing, Blocked air vents inside cabinet, Failed evaporator fan motor, Refrigeration system fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug before removing panels; basic checks can be done with power on.
- Door and gasket: Ensure the door is fully closing and the door gasket is not torn or warped. Replace gasket if it does not seal all around.
- Internal airflow: Check that bottles are not blocking the rear air vents. Rearrange bottles to allow air circulation.
- Fan operation: Listen for the interior (evaporator) fan when the compressor is running. If you do not hear it, follow the E6 steps to inspect and replace the evaporator fan motor if needed.
- Allow recovery time: After correcting issues, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to stabilize and the HI alarm to clear.
- Further diagnosis: If HI persists and the unit does not cool, follow EC troubleshooting or contact a technician for sealed system diagnosis.
