Possible Causes
Loose compressor mounting hardware, Refrigerant lines striking cabinet, Loose condenser coil brackets, Items inside cabinet vibrating against each other
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before touching any internal or rear components.
Steps:
- 1. Isolate noise source: Listen carefully to determine if the noise comes from inside the cabinet or from the rear.
- 2. Inside cabinet: Rearrange bottles so they are not touching each other or the walls. Add shelf liners to dampen vibration.
- 3. Rear compartment: Remove the rear panel and inspect for loose brackets, screws, or tubing. Tighten any loose fasteners.
- 4. Secure tubing: Use foam sleeves or clips to prevent copper lines from hitting the cabinet or each other during compressor start/stop.
- 5. Compressor mounts: Verify that the compressor is firmly mounted on rubber grommets. Replace missing or damaged grommets.
