Possible Causes
Loose compressor mounting springs, Condenser fan blade hitting shroud, Unit not leveled causing vibration, Refrigerant lines touching cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting components at the rear. Beware of hot compressor surfaces.
Steps:
- 1. Level the unit: Use a level to ensure the wine cooler is stable on all four feet. Adjust leveling legs to eliminate rocking.
- 2. Check rear panel: Ensure the rear access panel is securely fastened and not vibrating against the frame.
- 3. Inspect condenser fan: Remove the rear panel and observe the fan while running (briefly, with caution). Make sure the blade is not rubbing on the shroud or wires. Adjust or secure as needed.
- 4. Secure refrigerant lines: Look for copper lines touching each other or the cabinet. Gently bend or pad them with foam to prevent rattling.
- 5. Compressor mounts: Check that the compressor mounting grommets are intact and that the compressor is not contacting the base directly. Replace worn grommets if necessary.
