Possible Causes
Burned-out condenser fan motor, Obstruction preventing fan rotation, Loose fan connector, Faulty control board fan output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before working near the fan or compressor.
Steps:
- Access fan: Remove the rear lower panel to expose the condenser fan.
- Check for obstructions: Remove any debris, dust clumps, or wires blocking the fan blades.
- Spin test: Turn the fan blades by hand. If stiff or seized, the motor is likely bad.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan connector is fully seated on the main control board and wires are not damaged.
- Replace fan motor: Install a new condenser fan motor compatible with your Magic Chef model. Transfer the fan blade if necessary and ensure correct rotation direction.
- Control board: If a new fan does not run and wiring is good, the main control board's fan circuit may be defective and require replacement.
Note: Operating the cooler without a working condenser fan can quickly overheat and damage the compressor.
